Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 1, 2026

VIT PYQ's is an independent student project and is not affiliated with VIT. This policy explains how information is used when you browse or use the service.

Information used

When you create an account, the service uses your sign-in identifier and account details such as username, display name, campus, and profile settings. If you use signed-in features, it may also store your uploads, bookmarks, chat messages, friend connections, reports, download history, and related activity needed to operate those features.

Public study resources and profiles

Question papers and notes are free to view and download after signing in. Do not upload personal, confidential, or otherwise unauthorized material. Profile visibility settings control which profile details are shown to other users; private account data and download history are not intended to be public.

Storage and service providers

Information may be stored in this browser and processed by the cloud services used to operate the app, including Supabase and Firebase. Optional device notifications require the relevant browser permission. Those providers process information under their own terms and privacy policies.

Safety and moderation

Reports and chat content may be reviewed by moderators to enforce the community terms, investigate abuse, and protect users. Serious or repeated violations may lead to content removal or account termination. Do not share sensitive personal information in chat.

Your choices

You can manage profile visibility, notification permissions, and saved content in the app. To ask a question or request help with account information, use the in-app report or support controls. Browser storage can be cleared through your browser settings; doing so may remove locally cached app data.

Changes

This policy may be updated as the service changes. The date above identifies the latest published version.
